THCa vs Delta 9 THC: What's The Difference?
Since demand for THCa flower has absolutely exploded over the last year, we get a ton of people asking what the differences are between THC flower you’d find in licensed dispensaries and the flower we sell.
The answer is there really is ZERO difference between the two, other than the fact our flower will test under .3% Delta 9 THC. Many people don’t know this, but as soon as THCa decarboxylates (from heat like lighting a bowl or baking), almost all of the THCa content converts directly to Delta 9 THC.
This means that once lit, flower with something like 30% THCa and .29% Delta 9, will roughly convert to around 30% Delta 9, making you just as high as any other flower you’d find in a dispensary.
In fact, many cannabis dispensaries actually sell what would be compliant THCa flower in their stores, because not every pound of licensed cannabis flower even gets above the .3% Delta 9 limit.
You could easily walk into a California dispensary, pull 5 jars off the shelf and see numbers like this:
- THCa: 26%, THC: 3%
- THCa: 22%, THC: 5%
- THCa: 30%, THC: .4%
Long story short, all THCa flower is the same as dispensary flower and almost all THCa converts directly into Delta 9 when lit (with an extremely small amount lost through combustion. Our THCa flower pounds are ALWAYS compliant, meaning that they come with a COA showing them to have just under the .3% Delta 9 THC limit.

We get a lot of questions about our THCa flower pounds. Here are a few answers to the ones we get the most.
Is THCa Legal?
Absolutely! The Farm Bill that was passed in 2018 outlawed products with more than .3% Delta-9 THC. However, it also made an exception for THCa, which is a precursor to Delta-9 THC. So businesses across the United States are now fulfilling orders for hundreds of thousands of customers with premium THCa products.
We will provide you with a COA (Certificate of Analysis) in every shipment that shows each pound is below the .3% Delta-9 THC limit, making it legal to have and ship, similar to our cannabis clones.
Our partner farms are fully hemp-licensed operations that are also proud members of the National Hemp Association, to give you peace of mind this isn’t some trap operation trying to make a quick buck. When it comes to THCa, it’s critical you have completely accurate and legitimate test results and product to ensure you are working within the law.
How Fast Is Shipping?
Due to the heat sensitive nature of these products, we will ONLY ship as overnight Express, which means once your order is shipped it should arrive the very next day. Shipping costs will be determined on an order by order basis, depending on where you’re located and how many pounds you’re ordering.
We ship Monday through Thursday (Fridays also for an additional $30-$60) and can typically get your order out same day if paid and processed by 10am PST.
Is There A Minimum or Maximum Order?
Yes, at the moment our minimum is a single pound, however there is no maximum. We consistently have over 100lbs in stock and can find more if you’re in need of more than we have in stock. Our average order is for 5 lbs.
We understand ordering online for the first time may be scary, so we recommend choosing one of our light dep pounds to start, and we’ll include small samples of our other tiers so you can make a more informed decision on your next order.
Do You Sell Other THCa Products?
Yes, our processing facility makes THCa isolate, CBG kief, as well as packaged THCa products like Cigarillos, Jarred 1/8ths and vape carts. If you would like to order any of those please reach out and we can send you more information.
On the bulk side we offer THCa diamonds, THCa trim and THCa isolate that can help you expand your retail offerings.
We also obviously carry premium marijuana clones and teens if you’re growing your own cannabis at home or commercial operation.
What States Do You Ship To?
We have bulk THCa flower pounds clients from Alaska to Florida, new York to Southern California, so we ship to all 50 states, as long as you’re over 21 years old, no exceptions. We ship with UPS Express and require a signature for every shipment due to the sensitive nature and value of the box contents.
Do You Offer Discounts?
We save our best discounts for our most frequent and high volume clients. We typically can start shaving the price down if you’re ordering 10 lbs at a time. We don’t offer discounts off the listed price on a first order, ever.
